And you thought you had a lot of hats…
For the past two months we’ve been scouring the Internet looking for the next Ultimate Hat Collection. After analyzing all of the epic entries (seriously, check out #UltimateHatCollection on Instagram), we’ve chosen eight finalists to battle it out for the title of LIDS Ultimate Hat Collector – 2018! In this blog we are highlighting one of our UHC competitors, Jeff Miller who was entered by his wife, @AZ_BASEBALLMOM
“Jeff is a huge sports enthusiast. He played baseball and basketball in high school, and then on to softball. He has been a baseball fan as far back as he can remember. ”
More about Jeff
He grew up in the Southern California area, and his favorite baseball team has always been the Dodgers. On the football side, he is a HUGE Seattle Seahawk fan choosing them because he liked the colors, and the logo, and the fact that they were always the underdog.
He began purchasing hats after our daughter was born in 1993. The first hat he purchased, which is also his favorite is the Albuquerque Dukes. He now possesses over 5000 baseball hats, most being MiLB hats (From A too AAA). Then add on countless hats from the various teams our son has played for; Campo Verde Coyotes (High School), Western Oregon Wolves (College), Kelowna Falcons (West Coast League), Bourne Braves (Cape Cod League) and he is now in the MiLB (Chicago Cubs Organization). And there is a special collection of Seattle hats and our local favorite team ASU (Go Devils).
We only wish we had a special room to come up with some sort of creative way to display the hats. But sadly, we don’t. So they continue to line the floor of his office, sitting stacked neatly on top of each other some 30 hats deep. Vote for Jeff because he is the “true” definition of the ultimate hat collector.
If you like Jeff’s collection, go vote! Not only will you help choose this year’s Ultimate Hat Collection, but each vote enters you for a chance to win a $50 Lids gift card!
