Honoring Heroes on Memorial Day

Memorial Day is often considered the unofficial start of summer and typically features days full of family gatherings and soaking in the warm weather. However, this holiday is much more than an extra day off of work. Memorial Day was created to recognize and show reverence for the American men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Keeping with tradition, MLB players will wear the Memorial Day 59FIFTY hat by New Era on-field during games played on Memorial Day. Each year New Era introduces a new camouflage inspired design, and MLB donates all of its licensed royalties from the sales of these caps to charities that support programs for service men and women, veterans and their families. This fitted hat features a dark camo pattern on top with an olive green bill. The five stars on the right side represent the five branches of the United States armed forces.

Operation Hat Trick

Operation Hat Trick is an organization that raises awareness to support  the recovery of wounded service members and veterans. Proceeds from OHT products go directly to selected organizations that help their mission. Operation Hat Trick aims to make sure no wounded service member falls through the cracks and is able to get the care they need. This year’s caps play with different camo patterns and come adorned with an American flag prominently displayed on the front.
